It is with great excitement that I welcome you to the new Jenison Wildcats athletic year. I look forward to many exciting athletic events this fall and throughout the year as we engage in contests with the some of the best scholastic competition in west Michigan.
At Jenison, we are fortunate to be able to serve our first time 7th graders, as well as our varsity athletes on one campus, in several of our state of the art facilities. This has allowed our coaches and student athletes to share and grow as young men and women using the same facilities.
I am honored to be able to offer a quality athletic experience that functions as an extension to our fantastic educational and fine arts programs. Each of our athletes must realize the importance of being a student first and that education has life long benefits. Our performance in the classroom is of utmost importance. I also expect that the members of each of our Wildcat athletic teams will always conduct themselves with character, commitment, and a true sense of sportsmanship.
With that important idea in mind, I again remind you of the need for all members of the Wildcat family to promote and observe the values of sportsmanlike behavior both on the playing field and in the stands! Be a good sport!
Please take an opportunity to come out and support our 51 high school teams and 36 junior high teams. Pocket schedules are located in both the high school and junior high athletic offices.
I greatly appreciate your attendance at JPS home contests and trust that you will cheer heartily for the Wildcats and have an enjoyable experience.
We Are Jenison!
